Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Salary: £28,000 £30,000 (depending on experience)

Their fleet of drivers carries out services such as:
Vehicle movements via trade plates
Inspect and collect services for the leasing sector
Handover of new retail vehicles for dealers and leasing companies
About the Role:
Cargoes Ltd is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Vehicle Movement Allocator to join their allocations team based in Grange Park, Northampton.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a fast-paced, high-volume role in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same.
Requirements:
Previous experience in the driven vehicle delivery industry
Strong driver management skills and a deep understanding of a drivers role and challenges on the road
Ability to build strong relationships and act as the first point of contact for the driving team
Confident communication skills to identify and report operational issues before they escalate
Calm, positive, and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
A people management mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction, delivery performance, and operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities:
Taking orders over the phone and via email
Planning routes for up to 30 drivers across the country using public transport
Liaising with customers to ensure vehicles are ready for collection
Inputting data into internal systems
Daily communication and coordination with drivers
Problem solving and thinking outside the box to manage logistical challenges
Updating internal and external systems with PODs (Proof of Delivery) and POCs (Proof of Collection)
