SURF Flow Assurance Engineer

We are currently supporting a major energy client on a large-scale offshore development and are looking to engage a SURF Flow Assurance Engineer to join the team. This is a key position within a high‑profile project, offering the opportunity to work on complex deepwater subsea systems and contribute to critical technical decisions across the project lifecycle.

Role Responsibilities
* Leading flow assurance studies for SURF (Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers & Flowlines) systems
* Performing steady‑state and transient simulations (e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, etc.)
* Managing risks related to hydration, wax, asphaltene, scaling, and slugging
* Supporting design and optimisation of subsea production and transportation systems
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (subsea, process, reservoir, operations)
* Providing technical input into FEED, detailed engineering, and execution phases
* Reviewing contractor deliverables and ensuring compliance with project standards
* Contributing to operability, start‑up, and troubleshooting strategies
Candidate Profile
* Extensive experience in flow assurance engineering within SURF projects
* Proven background working on deepwater or complex offshore developments
* Strong expertise in simulation tools (OLGA highly preferred)
* Solid understanding of thermal, hydraulic, and multiphase flow behaviour
* Experience across project phases (FEED, EPC, operations support)
* Ability to work in an international, fast‑paced project environment
* Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline
