As a Technical Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring technical excellence across farms, packhouses, and customer deliveries. Armagh, IrelandSalary: £25,000 per annumRole Overview: The Technical Assistant will be an integral part of the technical team, working closely with the Technical Manager. This multifaceted role spans across conducting audits, managing customer visits, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement across all technical facets of the business. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, with a focus on maintaining high standards of traceability, quality, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Participation in audits and preparation for customer visits across farms and packhouses.Conducting regular traceability audits and maintaining stringent product quality standards.Handling customer complaints, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.Documenting and updating farm and packing specifications, along with customer technical libraries.Ensuring accurate labelling and training of staff on new products/lines.Collaborating with the packhouse QC team to identify training needs and solve problems efficiently.Coordinating product, water, and swab tests for laboratory analysis according to schedules.Active involvement in HACCP team activities and ensuring GMP compliance across all sites.Any other duties as required, in alignment with company policies and quality standards.What We Are Looking For:A self-starter with a technical background, preferably in agriculture, food science, or a related field.Previous experience in a technical role within the food production/agriculture sector is highly desirable.Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough audits and investigations.Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proficiency in documenting procedures and findings.A team player who is also capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines.Must possess own transport due to the need for travel between sites.For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Adam McMahon.If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided.
