The Fife Pain Management service (FPMS) is seeking a motivated HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join the team. As a specialist physiotherapist, your role will be assessment, Physiotherapy treatment and advice to patients with chronic pain, including functional rehabilitation, and the provision of group sessions where required. You will have proven physiotherapy skills in a variety of clinical settings and will demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills. Some experience working with chronic pain patients would be desirable but is not essential if you can demonstrate your transferrable skills and willingness to learn. You will also provide peer support and teaching for students, and mentorship to the support staff within FPMS and will work closely with the rest of the multi-disciplinary Pain team. You will participate in teaching, research, service improvement and specialist clinical activities pertinent to the patient group and development of the service. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with developing leadership qualities and teaching skills. FPMS has a strong multi-disciplinary approach to the care of patients with Chronic pain, and this exciting post is at the forefront of the service. There will be opportunity to liaise with and work alongside senior and Lead Advanced Practice Physiotherapists to support effective patient pathways in Fife. The ability to travel to various locations across Fife during the working day is essential.
