About the Role
As Senior Procurement Manager, you will lead supplier negotiations, optimise sourcing strategies, and influence key business decisions across multiple product categories. Working closely with the Head of Procurement, you will provide support in their absence and play a key role in nurturing and developing the wider team. Responsibilities
* Lead and implement procurement strategies across a diverse range of Fresh Produce categories.
* Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships that deliver long-term value.
* Drive commercial performance through effective cost management, sourcing optimisation, and contract negotiation.
* Support and deputise for the Head of Procurement, providing leadership and continuity when required.
* Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Required Skills
* Significant procurement or category management experience, ideally within Fresh Produce, FMCG, or Fresh Food.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record in delivering value creation and supply chain optimisation.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with proven ability to manage suppliers at a strategic level.
* Organised, proactive, and confident working in a fast-paced environment.
* A collaborative, approachable style with the ability to lead and inspire others.
