To provide excellent patient care, you will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary, focusing on patients' needs. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a positive impact on patients' lives.
What you’ll be doing day to day.
Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, delivering clear and accurate answers.
Your duties will include:
1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
What you’ll need to have.
We offer an exciting career opportunity. You should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and possibly previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser.
Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required. If not already completed, we will support your training within 6 months of joining.
If interested in advancing your career, we can support you towards NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services to register with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially leading to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your professional development.
