Security SupervisorLocation: Baker & BakerRole Type: Full-timeHours: 42 hours per week, 2 days/2 night and 4 days off - 0530-1730/1730-0530Salary:£15.11 per hourJob PurposeWe are seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the security service at Baker & Baker. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, supporting excellent people care, and ensuring all staff, visitors, and contractors leave with a positive impression of the security service.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the security team shift rotaOrganise, supervise, and support the daily activities of Security OfficersInduct and train new security staff in line with site requirementsOversee goods in / goods out processes to ensure efficient and secure operationMonitor, review, and follow up on Incident Reports completed by Security OfficersAct as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, issuing and logging visitor/contractor passesMonitor CCTV systems and take appropriate action when requiredControl and monitor the issue of keys to staff and contractorsRespond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with Baker & Baker proceduresPrepare detailed written incident reports (including noise, intrusions, vandalism, and misdemeanours) and issue to the clientProvide initial emergency response call cover when requiredManage telephone enquiries, operate the site telephone answering service, and forward calls as appropriateEnsure out-of-hours checks of fire exits, fire doors, and fire-fighting equipment are completedCommunicate effectively with staff, visitors, and contractors regarding enquiries, incidents, and emergenciesAdhere to and actively promote Baker & Baker Health & Safety policies and proceduresKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)All client complaints acknowledged and actioned within 48 hours and followed through to resolutionFull compliance with ISO 9001 secure systems and proceduresAdherence to all statutory and company regulations relating to Health & Safety, fire hygiene, COSHH, and safe systems of workDevelopment of a motivated, high-performing team through training and development activities in line with the unit training planAdditional ResponsibilitiesRecruitment of staff (subject to approval by Account Manager / Group Security Manager)Conduct investigatory meetings and manage minor disciplinary matters, escalating to Site Services Manager and HR where requiredDeliver a consistent level of service in line with contract specifications, company standards, and agreed performance targetsMaintain awareness of workplace hazards and ensure staff are appropriately trainedSkills, Knowledge & ExperienceEssentialValidSIA LicenceProven knowledge of security techniques and proceduresStrong understanding of site-specific and local emergency proceduresExperience using security-related computer systemsWorking knowledge of CCTV, alarm systems, and access controlProfessional, calm, and diplomatic approach at all timesAbility to maintain confidentiality and display an official but courteous mannerDesirableWorking knowledge ofBS7858:2013CCTV LicenceFirst Aid qualificationFire Warden trainingWhy Sodexo?Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.Belongin a company and team that values you for you.
