Network System Architect - OT / IT - Midlands / Coventry 1-2 days per week onsite - £90-92k + benefits
The Opportunity:
This is a great chance to join a business who have a clear roadmap and are making a difference through innovation. They're an Engineering / Utilities business who are looking for a Network Architect / Network System Architect / OT Architect to join them on their Digital Transformation journey.
The Role:
You'll be part of the Enterprise Architecture Team working with a range of stakeholders across Technology and Operations and will be responsible for the design, prioritisation and delivery of scalable network architecture as IoT and the increase in sensors as a result of technological advances are realised. The WAN needs to be resilient and secure so that Operational Technology / OT and SCADA systems can communicate. You'll work closely with Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, Systems Architects and Product Development Teams to ensure the solution fits within the shared technical vision.
- Understand business drivers around the data communications network for IT & OT environments
- Design and Build a clear architectural vision through to solution roadmaps
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Define and Document requirements
The Person:
- A background in Network Architecture who has designed and implemented complex network solutions
- Strong understanding of networking principles (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, Network Security)
- Exposure to Industrial Network Protocols (Industrial Ethernet, DNP3, Modbus TCP/RTU)
- Familiarity with building networks across different technologies (Satelitte, Mobile, Fixed Line etc)
- A strong emphasis on security with solutions that align to regulations / standards such as NCSC, NIS, NIST, ISO27001 etc
- A background in OT from a Utilities, Telecoms, Engineering, Manufacturing, Automotive or heavily regulated industry
