 
        
        Personal Assistant to Principalship – The Manchester College
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant to support members of the College Principalship in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. The role is permanent, full‑time (35 hours per week) based at the City Centre Campus with cross‑campus travel.
Key Responsibilities
 * Review and filter all correspondence, both email and post, and respond appropriately.
 * Liaise with external stakeholders such as MPs, GMCA, Manchester City Council and key partners, maintaining confidentiality and the College’s reputation.
 * Make decisions for stakeholders without unnecessary referrals to the Principalship.
 * Assist with the business planning cycle in line with the governance structure.
 * Prepare agendas, coordination papers and PowerPoint presentations for a range of meetings.
 * Coordinate and organise ad‑hoc events hosted by the Principalship.
 * First point of contact for visitors and enquiries.
 * Maintain office conditions, meeting rooms and kitchen areas.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
 * Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Personal Assistant to senior managers in a fast‑paced environment.
 * Typing speed of at least 60 wpm.
 * Knowledge of Safeguarding in an FE environment.
 * Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
 * Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
 * Minimum 5 GCSEs, including English Language (Grade A–C or 4–9) and Maths (Grade A–C or 4–9).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: £24,588 – £34,640 (subject to experience and qualifications)
