Are you an experienced and dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?
We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our South East Pave project team. In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial management of construction projects, varying in complexity and value.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Area Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
1. Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors
2. Monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
3. Reporting project performance internally to senior managers and externally to clients
4. Securing payments from clients within contract terms
5. Managing subcontract procurement and accounts
6. Pre-contract pricing and cost agreement for projects
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying. We also welcome applicants undertaking further or higher education who seek a full-time role to support their studies on a day-release basis.
Candidates should possess:
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Numeracy and analytical confidence
* Drive and ambition
* The ability to work independently and in teams
* Excellent organizational skills
* Relationship-building skills
* Proficiency in IT, especially Excel, databases, and adaptable to bespoke software
This regional role requires a FULL UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points. Ideally, candidates will be based in East Anglia, but this is not essential. The position can be based at our Colchester or Snodland offices.
