We are seeking a skilled and experienced occupational therpiast to join our team in Blackburn with Darwen on a locum basis. This role involves delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment minor adaptations to support their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommedning both standard and specialist equipment.
-Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients homes.
-Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to created invicualised support plans.
-Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards
Requirements
-HCPC registrations and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
-Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting.
-Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments.
-Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes.
-Excellent communication and organisational skills
-DBS Enhanced clearance.
