Responsibilities
* Servicing and repairing heavy plant equipment to the highest standards.
* Diagnosing and solving hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
* Carrying out statutory compliance inspections under LOLER/PUWER.
* Developing and maintaining working relationships with customers.
* Complying with all company policy and procedures, including health & safety.
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive service and maintenance records via online jobsheets.
Skills, Experience and Personal Qualities
* Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role or a recognised apprenticeship with at least 3 years post‑apprenticeship experience.
* Essential experience working with heavy plant equipment.
* Ability to diagnose technical faults and take ownership to resolve problems.
* Experience using multi‑brand diagnostic equipment to aid fault diagnosis.
* Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative.
* Self‑motivated with excellent time‑management skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
* Knowledgeable of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
* A full driving licence is essential.
