<div><h3>Overview</h3><p>We are seeking a Consultant Haematologist to join our established haematology service which provides a full range of diagnostic and clinical haematology services and manages inpatients to BCSH Level 3.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Provide specialist haematology services across all areas of district general haematology practice.</li><li>Deliver appropriate teaching and supervision of junior doctors and medical students.</li><li>Work closely with general practitioners, hospital‑based medical and laboratory staff to provide a seamless service and deliver high quality patient care.</li><li>Manage inpatients to BCSH Level 3 care at the Regional Cancer Centre based at Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) on a rotational basis, with duties at both CGH and Gloucester Royal Hospital.</li></ul><h3>Team Composition</h3><ul><li>10 consultants</li><li>3 NTN Specialist Registrars (ST3 +)</li><li>3 Specialty Doctors</li><li>1 Clinical Fellow</li><li>1 ST1/2</li><li>7 Specialist Nurses covering transplant, MPN, myeloma, lymphoma, myeloid disorders and haemoglobinopathy</li><li>3 non‑medical prescribing pharmacists</li></ul><h3>Working Hours</h3><p>10 posts available per week, including on‑call commitments shared with other consultant colleagues. Options for whole‑time, part‑time or job share are welcome.</p><h3>Location</h3><p>The role is based at Cheltenham General Hospital and Gloucester Royal Hospital within Gloucestershire Hospitals, a leading trust providing acute, elective and specialist care for over 650,000 people.</p></div>
