Role overview:
We are seeking a team-oriented manager with flair, commercial acumen, and the energy to help develop the business alongside the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining high standards, nurturing a growing membership, and leading a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the operational running of the gym at all times, including opening and closing the site as required.
2. Work flexible hours, including early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
3. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Company Policies.
4. Maintain and adhere to the JD Gyms Brand Standards.
5. Conduct regular safety checks, report, and resolve any defects to ensure safety.
6. Achieve set sales and membership targets.
7. Maximise secondary spend revenue.
8. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness within the gym, including outside of contracted cleaning hours.
9. Ensure all team members and contracted staff adhere to uniform standards and deliver outstanding member service.
10. Create a positive environment where staff and contractors enjoy their work.
11. Undertake additional duties, projects, or meetings as required.
12. Represent JD Gyms as an ambassador at all times.
Skills and Experience:
* Management experience within a leisure-related industry preferred.
* Passionate about customer service and inspiring leadership.
* Qualified at least to Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Experience in driving sales, local marketing, and team management.
* Experience as an Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager within a leisure facility is desirable.
