an Interim Lead Educator for Nursing Support roles.
1 year fixed term position to cover maternity leave. Part-time 18.75 hrs per week (Monday-Friday working)
This is an interesting and exciting opportunity which requires an enthusiastic, experienced paediatric nurse with education and/or leadership experience, to join the Faculty of Nursing Education and Research and their Nursing Support Role team.
We are a friendly team who have a clear focus on providing effective and enjoyable education for all. The hours are flexible and there may be opportunities to work from home, when not required to have presence within the hospital, or to support some classroom teaching.
You will work alongside and in collaboration with the Co-Lead Educator, HealthCare Support Worker Practice Educator and Clinical Practice Educator posts, as well as the wider Trust Practice Based Learning team. You will have a focus on the organisational and strategic elements of induction, apprenticeship support and ongoing development of substantive HealthCare Support Workers and Nursing Associates working within BRHC. The job will include attendance at meetings with representatives from across UHBW and BNSSG, so confidence in articulating and advocating for this workforce is needed.
Applicants are required to be NMC registered with extensive paediatric experience. You should have some experience of clinical teaching, good communication skills, together with the ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines. Most of all, an ability to demonstrate your understanding of the roles and importance of Nursing Support Roles and Apprenticeship pathways is essential.
