We’re partnering with an inspiring social welfare charity dedicated to transforming lives across the South West. Merrifield Consultants are proud to be partnering with them to find a Fundraising Officer – Individual Giving who will use creativity, marketing and fundraising expertise, as well as data insight to attract new supporters, strengthen relationships, and boost long-term donations. In a close-knit team, you’ll guide donors from their first gift to regular giving and legacy support, crafting journeys that inspire loyalty and lasting connection to the cause.

Salary: £29,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Location: Bath or Exeter
Working Pattern: 2-3 days in the office a week (flexible for the right candidate)

Responsibilities:
* Working with the Senior Fundraising Manager to develop an individual giving strategy that increases donor acquisition, engagement, and income.
* Working with the Marketing & Communications Manager to create and deliver an annual plan for individual donor communications: mixing updates, asks and engagement opportunities that inspire positive responses.
* Project managing our bi-annual individual giving appeals, working with colleagues to design inspiring campaigns that generate six-figure income.
* Creating and embedding data-led supporter journeys that ensure every touch point with the charity deepens supporters’ commitment to the charity.
* Promoting the charity’s legacy case for support, and securing new pledges, as part of supporters’ journeys with the charity.
* Acting as the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries for the public, answering telephone and email enquiries and signposting them to relevant team members as needed.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Experience of leading fundraising activity relating to individual giving, regular giving and/or legacies.
* Experience of using CRM systems, ideally Donorfy, to interpret donor data and making decisions based on your analysis.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent your organisation to a range of stakeholders and create high-quality written content for fundraising.
* Experience of working across a wide portfolio of work, managing your time effectively.
* Excellent organisational and project management skills, with high levels of self-motivation and initiative.
