NES Fircroft is working on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator. We are seeking an Environmental Team Lead to join a collaborative and dynamic QSSHE team.
Leading a team of dedicated Environmental Advisors, you will be responsible for providing competent and proactive environmental support to onshore and offshore producing assets. Ensure all environmental requirements are fully understood, risks, controls, and mitigations are identified and implemented in a timely, economical, and effective manner, from operations through to decommissioning, including projects, drilling, infill, etc.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all OPPC, ETS, Chemical permits for offshore operations.
* Provide technical input into Terminal Environmental Operations.
* Develop an Environmental plan outlining key initiatives and milestones supporting ISO14001.
* Coordinate and oversee the maintenance of ISO14001:2015 certification.
* Conduct scheduled audits and inspections.
* Maintain ownership of the Environmental SEMS documents.
* Ensure timely submission of all internal and external reports such as EEMS, OSPAR, OPPC, SECR.
* Advise on environmental policy and legislative compliance.
* Monitor and review legislative changes and assess their impact on the business.
* Review personnel and contractor performance regarding environmental standards through site visits, inspections, and audits.
* Conduct site visits to support investigations into incidents, root causes, and preventative measures.
* Participate as a member of the IMT.
* Contribute to the environmental component of the HSE budget.
* Manage the Environmental Advisors team.
* Provide input and technical supervision for project environmental aspects.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* MSc in Environmental Management or similar is preferred.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and Incident Investigator certification.
* Extensive offshore upstream Oil & Gas sector experience at Advisor or Team Leader level.
* Broad experience including offshore production, subsea, drilling, and well intervention operations.
* Knowledge of UK environmental regulations and their influence.
* Understanding of emissions management and trading schemes related to offshore operations.
* ISO14001 auditor trained.
* Working knowledge of SCR2015, PORTAL, EEMS, ETSWAP (or UK equivalents), and SECR.
* Desirable: experience with onshore terminals and COMAH regulations.
* Willingness to travel, including visits to offshore sites.
