Hostel Co-Ordinator

Maple Court, Waddelow Road, Waterbeach, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB25 9GF

£14.51 per hour

37.5 hours per week

Your role

1. Support customers who have experienced homelessness to build independence and reach their potential
2. Ensure the smooth running of the service and promote it effectively
3. Work closely with colleagues and customers to deliver high-quality, intensive support
4. Manage and develop a team of Project Workers, including recruitment, training and rota planning
5. Oversee risk assessments and personalised support plans to maintain quality
6. Liaise with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes, focusing on tenancy sustainment and move-on goals
7. Promote safe working practices and complete health and safety checks

(This role is sometimes also referred to as Senior Support Worker or Senior Support Assistant).

Your skills

8. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards this
9. Experience supporting people who have experienced homelessness
10. Knowledge of housing management, including rents, tenancies and health and safety
11. Understanding of occupancy agreements
12. Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
13. Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
