As a key member of the Quality and Technical Team the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing processes in the business. The role's focus will be working proactively with the Operations Team to support Quality Improvement Programmes, aimed at eliminating quality related problems at our customer. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure I conduct myself safely at all times and comply with all Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Site Rules. Responsible for attending Daily Level 1 Meetings to raise any quality issues in production and establishing the reasons for materials being placed on Q Status. Conduct traceability on non-conforming material and ensure adequate containment, pending further investigation and final disposition decision. Timely feedback to production on disposition of on hold material (i.e. release, rework, block, or scrap) and SAP status update. Maintain Visual Appearance Standards Initiate improvements to Procedures and Processes Raise Internal and External Concessions and involve relevant key stakeholders in Quality, Customer Services, Planning and Production. Support and raise Internal Non-Conformances Develop and provide Product Quality training for Production. Support the Management of Change Process when introducing new processes, equipment, or methods. Participate in Customer Complaint investigations, Root Cause and CAPAs. Generate trends, quality stats and reports as required. Daily engagement with Planning, Production, CSE and Warehouse Teams. Positive Release of incoming Raw Materials Manual COA generation as required OCCASIONAL TASKS Back up for supporting Camera Inspection Systems (Cognex and Dr Schenk) Perform behavioural audits and hazard spots as requested. Share and learn from best practices with internal colleagues and external organisations. Provide support to the Quality & Technical team in other ad-hoc projects as appropriate. Participate in Internal Audits, based on ISO 9001:2015 and BRC Packaging Materials Version 6 Standards. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential Analytical thinking ability Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential Good overall computer skills is essential particularly systems such as SAP & Microsoft Office Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems is advantageous Knowledge and application of problem-solving tools, techniques, and statistical analysis Previous experience as a Quality Engineer or similar will be advantageous.
