We are expanding and looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead The Chestnuts Care Home in Aylesbury (64-bed residential service) and an experienced Clinical Registered Manager to lead Hazlemere Lodge Care Home.
As the Registered Manager, you’ll be at the heart of delivering exceptional, person-centred care, leading a dedicated team to ensure residents feel valued, supported, and truly at home.
Responsibilities
* Lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for residents, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations, while achieving operational and quality assurance KPIs.
* Ensure residents understand care and treatment choices and that care is provided in a way that promotes choice, dignity and individuality.
* Review existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs and liaise with residents, internal staff, health professionals, social workers and other parties to adapt plans as needed.
* Carry out audits to monitor service quality and take corrective action if concerns arise.
* Maintain effective risk assessments to protect residents and overall home safety.
* Induct new staff and ensure ongoing training, supervision and support for existing staff.
* Manage disciplinary or formative actions when required.
* Ensure adequate staffing and develop contingency plans for unexpected absence or events.
* Investigate safeguarding or abuse-related complaints and ensure appropriate notifications.
Qualifications and Requirements
* A minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.
* Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards this.
* QCF level 4 or higher in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
* Previous registration in a residential service is preferable.
* Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the care sector, including running a care home and regulatory framework.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
* Experience of working with vulnerable client groups.
* Flexibility for 40 hours per week.
