Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Supervise and support junior staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
* Foster a warm and welcoming environment that promotes dignity and respect for all residents.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care and share best practices.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
* Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
* A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs if required.
* Familiarity with developing care plans and understanding the specific needs of elderly individuals.
* Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
