Web Marketing Specialist - London
Salary to £45k + Strong Benefits
Hybrid – c2 days per week in the Central London office
We're looking for a creative, data-savvy Web Marketing Specialist to transform our client’s suite of event websites into conversion machines. You'll craft compelling content, design seamless user journeys, and use analytics to drive real results—more registrations, more engagement, more impact.
Essential Experience:
* 3+ years' experience in web marketing, digital content, or website management
* Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, or similar) and working knowledge of HTML/CSS
* Strong grasp of UX principles, SEO best practices, and conversion rate optimisation
* Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz)
* Knowledge of A/B testing, heat mapping tools (Hotjar, Crazy Egg), and website performance optimisation
* Experience with marketing automation platforms and responsive design principles
* Basic understanding of JavaScript for tracking implementation
* Excellent writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
Bonus Points:
* Experience in the events or exhibitions industry
* Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and structured data/schema markup
* Familiarity with headless CMS or advanced CRO tools (Optimizely, VWO)

Own the Digital Estate
* Manage and maintain a portfolio of high-impact event websites plus the corporate site
* Keep everything fresh, on-brand, and performing at its peak
* Partner with design and development teams to launch new features and pages
Create Content That Converts
* Write and edit engaging web copy—from event descriptions and speaker bios to blogs and landing pages
* Optimise every word for SEO and your target audience
* Maintain a consistent voice that resonates across all digital touchpoints
Optimise the Experience
* Design intuitive navigation and crystal-clear calls-to-action that guide users effortlessly
* Hunt down friction points through regular UX audits and fix them
* Ensure every site is accessible, mobile-friendly, and built for conversion
Let the Data Lead
* Monitor performance using GA4 and reporting tools to understand what's working (and what isn't)
* Track the metrics that matter: traffic sources, bounce rates, conversion paths, and goal completions
* Turn insights into action with data-driven recommendations that boost registrations and engagement
Collaborate Across Teams
* Align web strategy with event marketing campaigns and business goals
* Support paid media and email teams with optimised landing pages and tracking solutions
