Location: St Helens, Merseyside, United Kingdom. Hours: Varied as this will be relief. Shift Pattern: Varied as this will be relief. Hourly Rate: Site dependant between £12.21 - £15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Provide a visible deterrence and respond to incidents in-store
* Carry out guarding duties as required
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
* Conduct colleague and contractor searches in line with customer company policy
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning
* Prepare detailed and legible incident reports to assist the client and local authorities
The Person
To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator and able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You should be welcoming and patient with customers and capable of handling conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role
* Previous experience in a Retail Security role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
* Applicants must be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or education history

* You must have a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence to apply
