Position
We currently have a vacancy within our Surgical and Transplant team who are based on the Fifth floor at Royal Papworth Hospital.
Responsibilities
The post within the team is fundamental in ensuring that the patients' experience is always a positive one. You will work closely with the Ward nursing team to support the achievement of an excellent standard of care on the wards for in-patients by providing a robust system of cleaning and maintenance of essential equipment and clinical areas within the wards.
You will also be required to support the storage and documentation of patients' property and valuables in accordance with hospital policy and procedure and complete audits to improve future patient care. The skills we are looking for are attention to detail, tact, patience, accurate data entry, the ability to liaise with colleagues throughout the Hospital and beyond, excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make yourself understood on a telephone with a professional and respectful manner.
Qualities and Skills
You should be enthusiastic to work within an environmental maintenance role, have some customer care or office experience with an understanding of what this entails and is able to contribute positively to the patient pathway.
