Health & Safety Manager Construction
Location: South Birmingham
Salary: GBP45,000 + car allowance + private medical
Job type: Permanent, full–time
A well–established construction and building maintenance company is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. The business delivers a wide range of projects across commercial, education, NHS, and local authority sectors and has a directly employed workforce of around 50 people. This role is office and site based with no hybrid/home working.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and update Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Construction Phase Plans
* Compile and manage project Health & Safety completion files
* Manage and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications
* Oversee all Health & Safety and environmental accreditations and compliance
* Carry out regular site inspections and audits, reporting on findings and improvements
* Manage PPE supplies and ensure correct usage across the workforce
* Lead on the Health & Safety training regime for employees
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years Health & Safety experience
* NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualifications
* Strong knowledge of ISO management systems and audit requirements
* Confident carrying out inspections, audits, and compliance checks
* Full UK driving licence
