Join us as a Locality Engagement Assistant and make a real difference in shaping family services across Cheshire East!
We are looking for four passionate and proactive Locality Engagement Assistants to join our teams across the North and South of Cheshire East. In this role, you’ll help strengthen connections between families, communities, and local services. You’ll play a key part in delivering the Family Hub and Best Start in Life offer, ensuring families have access to the right support at the right time.
You’ll work closely with local partners, community groups, and families to promote engagement, gather feedback, and shape services that truly reflect community needs. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by empowering families and improving outcomes for children and young people.

About the role:
1. Work in partnership with voluntary, community, and faith sector organisations to develop Family Hub services across local communities.
2. Promote and use a range of consultation and participation models to enable families to influence decisions that affect their lives.
3. Support the facilitation of Family Hub participation groups to strengthen collaboration between services and parents.
4. Help children, young people, and families build confidence and skills to take part in decision-making processes.
5. Identify gaps in provision and contribute to multi-agency planning to improve services.
6. Assist in sourcing external funding to support local development and activities.
7. Promote volunteering opportunities and signpost individuals willing to contribute their time.
8. Actively engage underrepresented groups to ensure their voices are heard in shaping services.
9. Contribute to meetings and reports that inform leadership decisions.

About you:
10. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can confidently engage with a wide range of people.
11. You’ll be proactive in promoting services and building relationships with families and partners.
12. You have strong ICT skills and can manage information effectively.
13. You’ll be well organised, with good time management and attention to detail.
14. You’re flexible and willing to travel across the borough, including occasional evening or weekend work.
