Responsibilities: In this role, I will involve you in: Configuring, managing, and maintaining Microsoft Windows domains and Hyper-V virtualisation environments. Developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for Windows virtualisation, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration. Diagnosing and resolving complex issues across virtualisation environments, including Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Evaluating products and upgrades, overseeing and implementing system upgrade strategies. Maintaining Dell server environments across multiple locations. Providing 3rd-level support to Helpdesk engineers, offering guidance and technical escalation. Leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT solutions, coordinating with technical teams as needed. Developing and analyzing system standards, thresholds, and recommendations to optimize performance. Conducting capacity planning reviews and approving plans formulated by junior team members. Establishing strategies to manage the deployment of support packages and system patches. Monitoring server backups and network uptime, while providing recommendations for improvements. Liaising with 3rd-party vendors for support, procurement, and technical collaboration. Coordinating proposals and work estimates for system administration projects alongside business development teams. Designing and enforcing secure systems, network policies, and procedures, while providing technical guidance to the team.
