A growing construction business, which is now a division of a listed group, is seeking a Management Accountant to support the Finance Director in this newly created role. With a turnover of around £20 million, the company is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and investment, offering an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accountant. The business uses Sage 200.
This is a broad and varied position, providing exposure to both operational and strategic elements of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, management accounts, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and supporting year-end processes
Supporting group reporting requirements and consolidations
Providing financial insight to operational managers to support decision-making
Assisting with project accounting and revenue recognition
Driving continuous improvement in systems, reporting, and controls
Working closely with the Finance Director on ad-hoc projects and business integration activitiesAbout You:
Part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Previous experience in a management accounting role
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
Construction industry experience and knowledge of revenue recognition would be advantageous, but not essential
What’s on Offer:
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000, depending on experience
1 day working from home per week
25 days holiday + bank holidays
