**Due to retirement, we require a Vehicle Mechanic, MOT Tester (preferred) and Technician, where your expertise will keep vehicles running smoothly and safely on the road. In this role, you'll perform essential maintenance, repairs, and safety inspections with precision and enthusiasm. Your technical skills will ensure vehicles meet all safety standards while providing excellent service to our valued customers.*** Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with MOT testing standards.* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles in optimal condition.* Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like ohmmeters to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems accurately.* Repair or replace faulty components* Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and parts used.* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards for vehicle safety and emissions.* Assist in diagnosing issues by interpreting technical manuals and using diagnostic software tools.*** Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.* Strong understanding of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, electrical components, and emissions standards.* Ability to perform MOT testing according to legal requirements (certification preferred but not mandatory).* Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for accurate diagnostics and repairs.* Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to team members and customers.* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £25,633.53-£39,670.48 per yearBenefits:* On-site parkingAbility to commute/relocate:* Elvanfoot ML12 6TF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Licence/Certification:* UK Licence (required)Work authorisation:* United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person
