Pay Rate: £89.38 per day (£13.75 per hour)

Are you a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive primary school environment?
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) across primary settings in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. This role plays a vital part in helping children access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
About the Role
Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH
Offer one-to-one and small-group interventions to support learning and development
Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet individual learning needs
Contribute to an inclusive, nurturing, and safe learning environment
We’re looking for someone who is:
Patient, caring, and empathetic to individual pupil needs
Passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs
Flexible, reliable, and confident working across different classroom settings
A strong team player with good communication skills
Experienced in SEN/ALN or primary education (desirable but not essential)
Requirements
Teaching Personnel provides guidance and support in obtaining:
Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
References covering the last two years of employment
