Senior IT Support Engineer - Tain, County of Ross. (Onsite)
Contract Length – 12 Months
Your new role
You will be in a customer-facing support role focused on a range of technical work activities either remotely or at the customer site to meet business and customer requirements.
1. Act in accordance with thepany's information security policies and report any potential or actual security events or other security risks to the operation.
2. Carry out installations and configurations of end-user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products.
3. Support end-user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products by testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting in order to determine the source ofputer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.)
4. Conduct updates of network asset management register to ensure that any changes to setup, location or configuration of kit is logged in a timely and appropriate manner, where any additional hardware or software is included within the networkponent inventory.
5. Prepare, maintain, and adhere to procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring network data as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
6. Good understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft operating systems and networking.
7. Previously worked in an IT technical environment and have an understanding of ITIL practices.
8. Broad experience working in the IT environment, including networking skills – WAN/LAN
9. Microsoft and VMWare knowledge
