Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director - Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Dewsbury for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director to lead their team. This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts between 8am and 6pm. There will be no weekends or OOH work.

9. Team: 1 vet, 1 nurse, 2 ACAs and support team including area manager
The role
10. The roles a varied caseload as well as duties including mentoring the team, setting the clinics objectives and ensuring a high delivery of care is provided to all patients and clients.
11. Clinical work will involve consultations and surgeries.
12. The role will be split between both clinical and managerial duties.

18. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service
19. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients

20. 1st opinion small animal practice - single site
21. They are fully equipped with all the toys and have recently invested new equipment. Facilities include an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, endoscope and ultrasound
22. The practice are always looking to invest with additional kits and facilities that will enhance the team and services provided.
23. The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
24. They have a team of 1 full time Vet, 1 Nurse, 2 Animal Care Assistants and 3 supporting staff. The practice is also supported by the Area Director and Manager.

About you
27. They are looking for an experienced Vet who is confident in their medical and surgical skills.
28. Previous leadership experience would be advantageous, however support and leadership skill learning can be provided.
29. The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships
30. The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
31. The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care
Package
32. Salary: Up to £95, per annnum, commensurate to experience
33. Holidays: 7.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
34. CPD: Generous allowance of £1, with 40 hours paid
35. Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
