Millbrook Surgery is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients while carrying out a range of diagnostics to support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care. You will display compassion, empathy, and have excellent communication skills. The role requires the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities include:
1. Venous blood sampling collection
2. Performing blood pressure checks, including fitting 24hr blood pressure monitors, removal, and completing referrals where required
3. Pulse and temperature checks
4. Recording patient height and weight
5. Urinalysis
6. ECG recording
7. Ear checks and syringing
8. Spirometry and FeNo
9. Diabetes physical checks including foot checks
10. Vaccinations and IM injections in line with protocol/competencies
11. NHS health checks
12. Simple wound care
