About the Role
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role within Enable, making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. Each day is unique – you will support someone who requires help to achieve their goals and outcomes, whatever they may be.
The role involves assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and providing positive behavioural support while expanding the individual’s social networks and connections. You will work as part of a bespoke team to ensure safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.
Job Details
* Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
* Working hours: 18 hours per week (2 shifts of 8:00–17:00, including weekends)
* Employment: Part‑time, permanent
* Hourly rate: £13.45
* Female support only
* Driving licence essential
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care and hygiene
* Support moving and handling activities
* Provide positive behavioural support
* Help expand social networks and connections
* Collaborate with the support team to meet safety and wellbeing goals
* Record and report on the progress and outcomes of the individual
Qualifications & Skills
* No prior care experience required; we recruit on values and transferable skills
* Commitment, dedication and a desire to support individuals to get the most out of life
* Must be female (female support only)
* Driving licence – essential for the role
* Will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of start date
* Will be required to undergo a Personal Vulnerability and Grooming (PVG) assessment – cost paid upfront by Enable
