We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative Framework Manager to join us in our mission to deliver our ambitious Capital Maintenance Programme. As a Framework Manager, you will be responsible for managing a number of our key framework contracts, supporting the delivery of a capital maintenance programme worth approximately £80 million per year. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure high performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the framework.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the strategic direction, development and continuous improvement of framework contracts delivering the Capital Maintenance Programme
2. Manage contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they are properly authorised and aligned with the framework
3. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align framework strategies with delivery needs
4. Ensure effective supplier performance reporting from front line teams
5. Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and contract compliance
6. Drive efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement across the framework
7. Resolve issues and disputes promptly to protect programme delivery
8. Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are upheld at all times
9. Act as a key member of the SMD leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and delivery
10. Champion innovation, collaboration, and best practice in framework management
About you
11. Experience managing supplier frameworks in capital projects or similar environments
12. Strong strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement skills
13. Proven ability to manage performance, risk, and compliance across complex contracts
14. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities
15. Knowledge of project lifecycle, cost management, and procurement processes
