The department focuses on developing and managing projects in the energy solutions and infrastructure sector. It supports investment, project coordination, and business development across the European region. The department works closely with global teams and partners to deliver sustainable and long-term infrastructure solutions.
Job Description / Responsibilities
Investment & Strategic Development / M&A
* Lead M&A transactions in the energy solutions and infrastructure sector
* Originate, evaluate and execute project investment opportunities
* Develop financial models, valuations, business case analyses and investment structures
* Structure finance transactions and lead lender negotiations
* Manage due diligence processes across financial, tax, legal, commercial and technical areas
Portfolio Management / PMI
* Plan and execute post-merger integration (PMI), with a focus on financial and operational aspects
* Oversee portfolio companies, including cash management, accounting, tax compliance and financial governance
* Drive operational optimization and value creation initiatives
Stakeholder Management & Market Development
* Build and maintain networks with investment banks, developers and corporate partners
* Manage relationships with the Japan headquarters and business partners across Europe
* Prepare materials to support board-level and executive decision-making
* Originate new investment opportunities in the broader energy transition sector
Requirements & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or higher
* 5–10 years of professional experience in trading companies, investment banks, consulting firms (finance/legal advisory, etc.) or similar
* Experience in cross-border stakeholder management
* Proactive mindset, strong teamwork skills and leadership capability
* Proven experience in project finance or corporate investment
* Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: accounting, legal, tax or finance
* Strong business-level English communication skills
* Familiarity with Japanese companies and Japanese business culture
* Experience in energy solutions or infrastructure investments / business development (Preferred)
* Cross-border M&A experience (Preferred)
Employment Terms
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30 (lunch 12:30-13:30)
Employment type: Full time
Reporting line: For London, GM / For Amsterdam, Department GM
Working style: Office (maximum two days WFH per week)
Business trip: Require international travel (mainly in EU) as needed (30%)
