We are recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer to work on important and exciting projects. The successful candidates will be fully briefed and will have daily contact with company directors, with opportunities for progression and personal development.
Our organization specializes in pioneering solutions within National Security & Defense, emphasizing Secure by Design methodologies. As a valued team member, you'll contribute to cutting-edge projects, creating highly secure and high-performance software systems.
You should aim to expand your skills and knowledge gained through a degree or equivalent training and have a passion for solving technical problems.
Technology Experience:
* VMWare Tanzu, VCF (vCenter, Horizon, NSX)
* MS Hyper-V, Ubuntu/Linux, S2D
* VxRail
* Paradox
* CCNP level network experience
* MS Office, SharePoint, Exchange
* EJBCA, Userlock, Keycloak
* Kibana, Ping, Nessus, netbox, elastic
* Government and international military encryption
Essential Key Skills:
* Windows Server 2016+ administration
* VMware vSphere/vCenter/VCF, Azure, Microsoft 365 administration
* Linux (CentOS/RedHat/Ubuntu)
* PowerShell
* EUD provisioning (Autopilot), maintenance, patching, and hardening; SSO concepts and operation
* Understanding of working in protectively marked environments
Responsibilities (to be defined during induction):
* Maintain, improve, and secure SiXworks' multi-classification, virtualized environments
* Work with IT infrastructure colleagues to enhance 'Secure by Design' capabilities
* Support SiXworks' public cloud SaaS offerings (Office 365) and project-based systems
* Perform maintenance tasks through change control
* Monitor and manage ticketing and alerting systems for security and operational issues
* Assess impact of incidents, initiate recovery, and follow-up
* Identify trends, problems, and plan improvements
* Maintain knowledge and skills in secure cloud and network technologies
* Develop personal knowledge towards relevant certifications
* Advise customers and project teams on infrastructure issues
* Cascade knowledge through articles and team sharing
* Support business development efforts
