SEMH TA
working hours:
* Location: Consett, County Durham
* Salary: £75 - £100 per day
* Contract: Part Time, Permanent
Job Summary: GSL Education are seeking a part-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. This position focuses on facilitating a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEMH needs both in and outside the classroom.
* Implement strategies to manage anxiety and promote positive behaviours.
* Collaborate with teachers to tailor learning approaches to individual needs.
* Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements:
* Experience in supporting students with SEMH challenges.
* Strong understanding of mental health in educational contexts.
* Empathetic and supportive approach.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service.
