Description
The Commercial organisation at TrueLayer comprises Business Development, Sales, Integration Sales, Customer Success, Client Underwriting, Client Operations. and Commercial Operations. Our overall goal is to ensure revenue growth for TrueLayer’s products and services.
Commercial Operations is the enabling team committed to innovating ways to create seamless operations across our revenue functions (typically known as Revenue Operations). We are seeking a Commercial Operations Manager committed to pushing the boundaries, thinking creatively, and working fast to achieve the highest standards of delivery.
As a Commercial Ops Manager, you will:
* Drive the effective utilisation of HubSpot CRM, developing dashboards, data models, and forecasting capabilities, and implementing automation and workflows to optimise commercial processes.
* Monitor and report on key commercial metrics, KPIs, and data hygiene, continuously identifying and implementing process improvements.
* Identify trends and provide data-driven recommendations that inform commercial strategy and product development, including leading the quarterly and annual forecasting and target-setting processes for Commercial teams, ensuring alignment with company strategic objectives.
* Design, build, and optimize automations for customer management systems, proactively identifying and integrating new tools and technologies to enhance data quality, analysis, and visualization.
* Lead projects to improve the customer onboarding journey, managing the identification and implementation of best practices and methodologies, and driving the integration of continuous process improvement across relevant teams.
* Operationalize our global Commercial strategy, ensuring effective execution and embedding across commercial teams.
* Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal TrueLayer teams to support shared operational priorities.
* Lead targeted research and ad-hoc projects to inform Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and address critical commercial challenges.
We would like this role to also have an AI focus, which may include the following:
* Assist in auditing and mapping existing Commercial processes to help identify and prioritize opportunities for automation and AI integration.
* Support cross-functional teams, including data, engineering, and product managers, in developing and implementing AI solutions that deliver tangible value.
* Help embed AI tools into reporting, campaign management, and performance optimization to enable smarter, faster decision-making.
* Contribute to initiatives that encourage teams to experiment with emerging technologies, assisting with pilot programs and brainstorming workshops.
* Support internal AI education programs, and help share practical applications, insights, and updates across the company.
* You'll also contribute to discussions around the long-term vision for AI at TrueLayer, learning from and supporting leadership's strategic direction.
About You:
* Proven experience in Revenue Operations or similar analytical/consulting roles, ideally within a fast-paced Fintech or payments environment.
* Advanced proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using Google Sheets or Excel.
* Exceptional analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to synthesise complex data into actionable insights and overarching themes, especially for purposes of forecasting and target-setting.
* Demonstrated project management and communication expertise, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels and cultures.
* Highly results-oriented and proactive, thriving in ambiguous environments and capable of driving initiatives forward independently with incomplete information.
* Adept at managing multiple tasks and conflicting priorities simultaneously, consistently delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Requirements
What we need from you:
* At least 2 years of experience in a Commercial (Sales, CSM, etc), Operations, data analysis, or work as a business analyst, consultant or similar role
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
* Established analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to identify and summarise themes across complex data sets
* Highly collaborative with exceptional people skills to manage many and varied stakeholders - able to work effectively with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities
* Ability to be productive with minimal supervision. Must be reliable, results-oriented, proactive and able to move forward and execute at speed
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage conflicting priorities effectively
We would be particularly excited if you have:
* Experience in a FinTech and/or fast-growing payments company
* Experience with HubSpot, QuickSight, InsightSquared
