Overview
Mayfield School seeks to appoint a highly organised and proactive Technician: Art, Design and Technology or Science from September 2025. This is an exciting time to join us as we recently transferred to the successful Salterns Academy Trust, becoming a Trust of three schools and undergoing a period of rapid improvement.

We are looking for someone who:
* Will support teachers by providing advice and support in the practical and technical aspects of the department curriculum by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising, and managing resources for safe, clean, and secure practices across the faculty.
* Will work within the classroom with students, as directed by the teacher, supporting safe and sensible behaviour during practical tasks.
* Can prioritise their own work and be versatile in working across all areas of the department.
* Will improve the learning environment of the school by completing construction and display commissions.
* Will enjoy being a tutor and play an active role in contributing to their House ethos.
* Can demonstrate they have passed both GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths.
* Can work 40 weeks per year (term time + 5 days).
