Nursery Assistant
Location: Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire
Salary: £ 95 to £ 105 per day
Start Date: September term of 2024
GSL Education are looking for a Nursery Assistant across client schools located in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire for the upcoming term of September 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support the emotional development of young children. Job Summary: The role of a Nursery Assistant is pivotal in supporting the daily operations and development of children within a nursery or early childhood setting in school.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervising children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities.
* Assist in the daily care routines including feeding, diaper changing, and maintaining hygiene standards.
* Engaging children in play-based learning activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving skills.
* Engage children in educational activities that promote their physical, cognitive, and social development.
* Support indoor and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
* Communicating effectively with parents about their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
* Assisting with administrative tasks such as record-keeping, attendance, and preparing learning materials.
* Follow nursery policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of all students.
The Essential Requirements for Successful Nursery Assistant:
* Genuine enthusiasm and a deep-seated passion for working with young children.
* Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Strong listening skills to understand and respond to the needs of children and their families.
* Patience in handling children’s varying needs and behaviors.
* Dedication to maintaining professionalism in all interactions and responsibilities.
* Respect for confidentiality and sensitivity to the diverse backgrounds of children and families.
* Be able to adapt to different environments.
* Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
