Shanly Homes - the privately-owned, award-winning regional housebuilder - is looking for a Contracts Manager to be part of a successful team developing bespoke, high-end properties in and around the home counties. As Contracts Manager you will have responsibility for site teams across a number of our developments in the Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire areas. Ensuring that a high quality is delivered, health and safety is integrated in all we do whilst achieving our build programmes and budgets. About the Contracts Manager ro leReporting directly to our Construction Director you wil l:Project planni ng; agree the direction of build and locations for compounds and storage, identify critical path issues such as services and put plans in place to meet key date s.Build program me; produce build programmes ensuring these are followed any issues affecting delivery are swiftly resolved, collaborate with the other regional departments including commercial and sales to ensure the smooth operation of the developmen t.Build quali ty; in conjunction with the quality control team regularly inspect developments to ensure that the highest standards of build are achieve d.Build cos ts; collaborate with the commercial team to ensure that costs are being controlled within budget and any variations or extras are minimise d.Health and Safe ty; ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment, review any specific training needs and undertake regular revie w.Leadersh ip; motivate and provide clear direction to the site teams, assist with the performance management of team members to ensure the highest standards are achieved and play an integral role in recruiting and retaining the tea m. About youProven experience working for a residential house builder in a similar level r oleExperience in delivering multiple proje ctsDemonstrable understanding and application of health and safety best practice and legislat ionProficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawi ngsStrong leadership and communication ski llsSMSTS qualifi ed.
