Here at Wirral Vets, we are looking for a dedicated and caring Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be an integral part of the practice team working with our Veterinary Surgeons, qualified Nurses, Student nurses and reception team to provide exceptional care to our patients and clients.
Your role will involve
* Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the building in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
* Cleaning, restocking and care of equipment
* Cleaning and sterilisation of veterinary instruments
* Order unpacking, and stock rotation
* Assisting our staff with running in house laboratory samples
* Assisting our veterinary surgeons and vet nurses with a wide range of inpatient care
About the rota
This is a part-time permanent role working 31.25 hours per week over 3 days with shifts being from 8:00am-6:30pm. There will be one in four Saturdays from 9:00am to 1.30pm.
As part of our team you will need to have the ability to build positive working relationships with your colleagues, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise tasks, be flexible and willing to learn. We are looking for a confident communicator.
Our ideal candidate would have experience of working within a similar role, but this isn't a requirement for application, as training will be provided. You should have a mature attitude and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, as well as being able to adapt to the unknown daily challenges that working in a veterinary practice brings. This job role is based at our both our main site in Upton, as well as our branch in Seaview Road.This is a part time role but we would consider full time for the right candidate.
