Main Duties/Responsibilities
As an Adult Psychiatry Consultant with Midlands Partnership, you will:
* Conduct assessments of new referrals, deliver therapy, or refer to psychology colleagues for interventions, and follow up on medication reviews.
* Formulate care and treatment plans, prescribe treatments, and guide evidence-based practices.
* Support patients and their families, communicating diagnoses and treatment options clearly using various methods.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on shared decision-making.
* Lead or participate in multidisciplinary team activities.
* Assess and prioritize patient needs, delegating tasks appropriately.
* Monitor patient conditions, noting any changes, and report to the team.
* Perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping, prescribing, and monitoring treatments.
* Teach and train junior doctors, medical students, and team members.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
* MBChB or equivalent.
* Hold CCT or CESR at the time of interview or in an established training program, within six months of CCT.
* Be on GMC's Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR (CP) at interview.
* Recent NHS experience within the last 3 years (minimum 6 months).
