I am currently working with 2 Primary schools across East Bristol who have recently gained an SEN provision room within their Mainstream school.
The schools are particularly looking for candidates who have had prior experience working with Special Educational Needs as they need someone to join the team and be proactive from the start.
These schools work in collaboration with all staff members in the team and are always looking out for one another. You will have the opportunity to join a school who are passionate about providing children with an inclusive learning environment.
The Role
As a successful candidate, you will have previous experience working with children with SEND. This could be in any setting.
These SEN provisions have typically 7-9 children within the classroom with around 4 LSAs supporting the children.
This role is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday Term Time only.
You will be expected to:
* Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.
* Previous experience working with SEND children.
* Able to communicate and work with the Class Teacher closely.
* Meet the needs of the child through innovative teaching methods.
* Liaise with the SENCo for additional activities.
* Show initiative and flexibility.
