We are proud to be partnering with a well-established and respected business in the industrial refrigeration and process cooling industry, currently looking to recruit a Design and Applications Engineer to join their regional projects team in the South of the UK. This is a permanent role, offering the chance to join a forward-thinking company known for technical excellence and long-standing client relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing contract works across the South of England, from concept through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Generate and manage profitable contract works in the refrigeration and process cooling sector Provide technical support and guidance to both new and existing clients Design solutions and manage projects from estimation through to execution Carry out technical calculations, including heat load and pipe sizing for direct and indirect systems Allocate subcontract labour and ensure successful technical and financial project outcomes Maintain safety, technical, and operational standards across all projects Verify supplier invoices and produce detailed sales invoices Support with ad hoc business improvement and change projects Ideal Candidate Profile - Were looking for someone who is: Technically strong, with hands-on knowledge of industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems Commercially aware, with the ability to price, quote, and deliver profitable projects Personable and proactive, confident in a customer-facing role and capable of managing multiple stakeholders Organised and flexible, willing to travel throughout the region and stay overnight when required A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and strong project management skills Required Experience & Qualifications: Recognised Engineering or Building Services qualification Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the industrial refrigeration/process cooling industry Experience quoting and supporting technical work in refrigeration/air conditioning (mechanical & electrical) Knowledge of DX and pumped fluid systems, and refrigerants including HFCs, NH3 (Ammonia), and CO2 Understanding of modern refrigeration control systems Package & Benefits: Company vehicle Private medical insurance 25 days holiday bank holidays Company sick pay Continued training and career development Apply now to be considered for this fantastic Design and Applications Engineer role with a business that will support you with continued growth!
