We’re looking for a passionate Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in a significant redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site. Location & Working Conditions
Location: Plymouth, Devonport Royal Dockyard - with some remote working options available. Expect to be on-site for 3 days a week.
Hours: 45 hours per week, with flexibility on hours if desired. Just let us know when you speak to us!
Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required, which may take up to 8 weeks.

Your Responsibilities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the KierBAM Joint Venture team, ensuring financial excellence throughout the project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Managing commercial performance, including financial forecasting and maximizing cash flow.
* Preparing monthly cost reports and analyzing trends with the wider contract team.
* Building positive relationships with subcontractors through procurement, negotiation, and account management.
* Implementing contract change control procedures and communicating effectively with clients.
* Identifying and mitigating commercial risks while ensuring compliance with Kier Group's risk management policies.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You hold relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (HNC, BSc, MSc), with professional accreditation (RICS, ICE) being advantageous.
* You have experience with NEC contracts and are comfortable using systems like CEMAR, Coins, or Causeway.
* You thrive as a collaborative team player who enjoys nurturing relationships within diverse teams.
* You possess excellent organizational skills and can communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally.
* You are proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and can manage data with precision.
