GSL Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work across various welcoming mainstream primary schools in the Poole area. Starting this September, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.
About the Role
Step into a rewarding position where you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs. As a Supply SEN TA, your responsibilities may include:
Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to children with special educational needs.
Assisting class teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges.
Collaborating with school staff to ensure a positive and productive classroom experience.
What We’re Looking in SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in any capacity (e.g., support worker, youth mentor, nursery practitioner, childminder, etc.).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
Flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to adapt to different school settings.
Ability to drive or use public transport to travel to schools across Poole.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
