Our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) plays a crucial role in processing recyclables from across the region. We are now looking for a skilled and safety-conscious 360 Excavator Grab Operator to join our hardworking team. As a 360 Excavator Grab Operator, you will be at the heart of our recycling operations. Operating a 360-degree excavator fitted with a hydraulic grab, you’ll be responsible for moving, sorting, and stacking materials, keeping our facility running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a busy industrial setting — perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in precision, and has a strong commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate a 360-degree excavator with hydraulic grab. Handle, sort, and load recyclable materials from conveyors, bunkers, and stockpiles. Feed hoppers and loading bays to maintain steady material flow. Build and manage stockpiles of processed materials ready for storage or shipment. Load and unload vehicles using the excavator. Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects or maintenance needs. Keep working areas safe, clean, and tidy at all times. Work closely with site staff to ensure safe and efficient operations. Identify and remove contaminants or unsuitable materials from the recycling stream. Follow all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and attend daily briefings and training sessions. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Essential: Proven experience operating a 360 excavator. Experience using a hydraulic grab attachment. A valid CPCS/NPORS (or equivalent) certification for 360 Excavators. Strong understanding of health and safety in an industrial environment. Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues. Desirable: Experience working in a recycling or waste management facility. Knowledge of recyclable materials and ability to spot contaminants. Basic mechanical awareness to identify equipment issues. First Aid certification. Competencies: Safety-first approach with strong situational awareness. Excellent hand-eye coordination and precision. Reliable, punctual, and able to work to shift patterns. Ability to work independently and problem-solve under pressure. Comfortable working in noisy, dusty, and variable weather conditions (full PPE provided). Why Work For Enva?
