You will carry out assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. Duties and responsibilities Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person’s eligibility for benefits Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision What we look for: An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills Someone comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions This role is a great opportunity for registered nurses to develop their clinical knowledge and hone their assessment skills further, all while helping people move forward with their lives.
